“This property is well located giving a very quiet and peaceful ambience to a stay.”
The rooms are extremely spacious and well decorated and furnished. The grounds are attractive and well kept. However, a few things need urgent attention by the owner :-. 1. There is no handrail on the steep staircase which contravenes current Building Regulations. 2. The pull switch for the bathroom light is incredibly, positioned BEHIND the door, which has to be opened fully to reach it - this can be hazardous. 3. There was a serious house-fly infestation in the main bedroom which rendered it unusable, although being just a couple, we used the second bedroom. My last grumble concerns the locked connecting door in the lounge between the adjoining house. Much noise can be heard through this door when the other occupants are using their entrance hallway or kitchen, which abuts the doorway. Bricking it up would seem the only answer here. It's a shame that these problems have marred what is a very fine restored farmhouse, but we did enjoy the stay which was blessed with unusually good October weather. Regards Michael P Keen
Thank you for your comments. In the autumn of 2023 all old houses suffered with a plague of cluster flies or ladybirds or both. We think - and hope - the steps we have taken have alimented the problem and take note of your other comments.
