    “Vesta cottage is a lovely cottage that is very well located in Orford village.”

    It is a fantastic cottage if one of your party has a mobility impairment (which I have) The downstairs bedroom with a fantastic shower and loo, are great. My friends said that the upstairs bedroom and bathroom were really nice too. The kitchen/dining/living room is a great layout and the kitchen is well equipped. It’s so great that you can bring well behaved dogs and the enclosed garden gives you peace of mind. The garden is a sun trap and it was lovely to have breakfast outside on the ...

It’s so great that you can bring well behaved dogs and the enclosed garden gives you peace of mind. The garden is a sun trap and it was lovely to have breakfast outside on the patio even in September ! The owners were very flexible offering a booster seat and non slip mat for the downstairs bathroom. I will definitely book again as it is good value for the money.

You're welcomed into the spacious open plan kitchen/dining room with polished floors running throughout this room and into the bedroom at the back with en suite shower room. Stairs rise to the first floor master bedroom with en suite bathroom. The contemporary kitchen jas a high island table for dining, and a large sitting area complimented by a wood-burning stove making it cosy in the cooler months. You can generally park on the road directly outside the cottage where there's no restrictions, and a little gate takes you down the garden path to the front door, with the private enclosed garden on your left - the ideal spot for sitting quietly with a good book! Ground Floor On entering this pet friendly self-catering Suffolk holiday cottage you will find yourself in a light and spacious open plan kitchen, dining, and living area. Kitchen This contemporary, fully fitted and equipped kitchen has a fridge, freezer, electric oven with hob, dishwasher, and microwave. There is a ‘breakfast bar’ style high glass-topped dining table and high ‘bar stool’ style chairs. Living Area In this stylish area you will find a wood-burning stove where a large comfy sofa and two cosy chairs are positioned to enjoy the warmth and each other's company! There is plenty of entertainment with a flat screen television with Freeview, DVD player, radio and iPod docking station. Ground Floor Bedroom Sitting quietly at the back, this bedroom has a double bed and an in-room shower as well as an en-suite cloakroom. There's an easy chair and a storage unit. En-suite Shower Room This has a shower, w.c. and a hand basin. The attractive, unspoiled fishing village of Orford is situated on the bank of the River Alde and looked over by its magnificent 12th century castle built by Henry II. The village is home to a hotel and restaurant, two pubs, village store, bakers and wonderful fish restaurant and smokehouse. Orford is surrounded by farm land and forest in an area known as the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Centrally located, just 12 miles from Woodbridge to the south and Aldeburgh to the north, and just 5 miles from the famous Snape Maltings complex. The village of Orford is steeped in history. Henry II commissioned a castle to be built in the 12th century which is a must see when you visit the area. Owned and maintained by English Heritage you can enjoy this wonderful 'keep' and from the top there are breathtaking views for miles on a clear day.
