The property
The Nest is a newly renovated holiday home situated on the edge of the historic Suffolk Village of Blythburgh and enjoys an elevated position overlooking open fields and the Blyth Estuary, a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, walking distance to Walberswick and a number of pubs.
Set behind a high brick and woven wicker wall, The Nest offers ample off road parking for four cars and a large garden, mostly laid to lawn with a wide patio furnished with two sets of outdoor furniture so you can relax in the sun whilst the kids run around. The field to the rear is home to several horses who will trot to the fence to say Hello. The field plays host to Curlews, lapwing and Geese depending on the season, so pack your camera and binoculars to enjoy the exquisite views on offer.
Both the spacious well-equipped kitchen/dining room and the large sitting room, opening off the welcoming hallway, have double doors to the garden. There's also a utility room, snug, workspace area and a cloakroom on the ground floor. All the sumptuous bedrooms on the first floor are of an equally generous size, the primary with super-king bed has an en-suite bathroom and the second super-king and twin share a lovely family bathroom.
Blythburgh is in an excellent location for the many attractions of the East Suffolk Heritage Coast, which include coastal and rural walks as well as cycling routes and, for bird watchers there is the renowned RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere, within easy driving distance. Beautiful countryside and river walks can be enjoyed directly from the property along the route of the disused Halesworth to Southwold railway via Walberswick and there is a birdwatching hide hidden in the reed beds only 500 yards away.
Entering the house, a welcoming hallway sits at the heart of the house with the kitchen/breakfast room, sitting room, snug and cloakroom opening off the space and there is a handy work space under the stairs with a desk.

With views across the estuary, this room offers twin beds which can be made up as a super-king upon request. There is a hanging rail for your belongings.

The Nest is a large detached house with a beautiful landscaped garden, primarily laid to lawn with a wide patio well furnished with corner sofa and bench seats so you can really make the most of sunny days and enjoy a gas BBQ.
Sit and enjoy the views on offer, whether it's to enjoy the local horses in the rear field, enjoying the estuary views or enjoying a spot of birdwatching, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
There's ample parking at the front for four cars and a side gate so you can wheel bikes through and store them securely down the side of the house.

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
