“Our 2nd stay at Nutmeg.”
Beautiful property, excellently and comprehensively equipped, including toiletries. The standard of cleanliness and presentation was outstanding.
We found we needed to purchase bottled water for drinking/kettle as the kitchen tap water left a LOT of scum in drinks.
On arrival, bedroom 3 was made up as a twin (we had NOT requested this) and it made access to the windows & curtains difficult.
Beds were lovely & comfortable. We appreciated the welcome gifts too.
We will be back!
Thank you for your helpful review, we look forward to your return.
We continue to work with Best of Suffolk with regard bed configuration, and hope that the beds are arranged to your wishes on your next visit.
The water in Aldeburgh is "Very Hard", the kettle has been changed following your review, it is amazing how quickly the kettle scales up, although we descale regularly. The kitchen tap is the only tap that is not softened (see below). The water company say:
"If you have hard water, you might notice white scale build up in your appliances and taps, or a sheen on the surface of hot drinks. Mineral rich water can be a nuisance but also beneficial because we need calcium for healthy bones and teeth.
You can reduce the effects of water hardness on your appliances by using a softener. Most softeners swaps calcium and magnesium with sodium.
Please note that we don't recommend using softeners on kitchen taps, especially for babies and people on sodium-restricted diets.
You can also reduce white scale build in your kettle by only boiling the water once."
We hope that you enjoy your next visit.
