    “Well what can I say?”

Nothing more other than an absolutely fabulous property in a great location ( quiet yet only a short walk from the high street) fantastic host Ian who was always there to answer general questions, really dog friendly, weather was great for our long weekend with friends and we’ll definitely be back!

The property

The cottage is on four floors and the feel throughout is of a boutique hotel, with sleek bathrooms, neutral colour schemes and well-designed spaces. There is WiFi access at this property and the cottage is pet friendly. Ground Floor- The front door leads into light and airy living/dining room with two chocolate brown leather sofas to seat four, plus two wicker chairs with cushions. Oak floorboards and a wood-burning stove ensure that the cottage is both warm and cosy in the wintertime yet cool in the summer. With windows at both ends of the room, it catches the coastal morning and evening sun. We think we can picture you relaxing here with a glass of wine in front of the fire, listening to your favourite music on the Bose wireless speaker. At the other end of the living space is an oak dining table and seating for six. Stairs from the living space lead up to the 1st and 2nd-floor bedrooms and bathrooms and down to the kitchen. Lower Ground Floor- The fitted kitchen has a range of units that include an integrated oven, slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge with freezer box, washing machine, wine cooler and Nespresso coffee machine. A dining table accommodates four people (this is in addition to the dining table on the ground floor which seats six), with a small TV above it. Next to the kitchen is a cloakroom with w.c. and sink. A patio door leads from the kitchen to the rear deck with a dining table that seats six and two deck chairs. Steps lead down to the outhouse and access to an alleyway that leads directly to Aldeburgh's popular High Street, and the beach beyond. 1st Floor Bedroom One- A lovely room with a double bed, white painted floorboards, bedside tables, fitted wardrobe and roman blind. Bedroom Two- This is a small colourful bedroom with bunk beds (full-size singles) so it is particularly suited to children. There's a chest of drawers and clothes hanging space. Family Bathroom This modern bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, WC, hand basin and heated towel rail. Narrow stairs from the 1st-floor hallway lead to the second floor: Bedroom Three with En-Suite- The master bedroom has a bespoke king-size bed, oak floorboards, sloping ceilings and benefits from a glorious view over the rooftops of the sea through one of the two Velux windows. There is a small but beautifully designed en-suite shower room (shower, w.c., small hand basin). Outside- There are small patio gardens to the front and rear of the property, ideally positioned to catch the morning and afternoon/evening sun. The front garden has wooden benches and a flower bed and at the rear deck with patio furniture. There is a small outside storeroom. On-road parking is usually available on The Terrace. With this said, parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis on nearby roads.

About the location

ALDEBURGH

Thorpeness 2.1 miles; Saxmundham 7.2 miles.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

Note: If you wish to bring a dog please inform us at time of booking. Note: Sorry, no unaccompanied teenagers. Note: Please bring your own coffee pods for coffee machine which is an original Nespresso coffee machine.
