The property

Halcyon Barn is a truly luxurious, newly converted and restored, Grade II listed, pet-friendly, self-catering holiday home situated in the quiet village of Wissett only 20 minutes from Southwold and The Heritage Coast. In the other direction the Norfolk Broads are only 7 miles away. Approached by a gravel drive and set in it’s own six acres with a small copse there is plenty of room to run around. The property has been exceptionally restored and beautifully furnished to create a high-end and spacious contemporary holiday home within a traditional barn complete with a part-thatched roof. The main family room offers an impressive fully-vaulted ceiling, beautiful beamed walls and large full length windows to allow a flood of natural light. With a bespoke kitchen at one end, and a dining/living area at the other this space offers plenty of room for all the family to relax. A further sitting room with ample lounging space for all the guest leads from it. Four spacious bedrooms, three with en-suites, the fourth with an ensuite toilet and basin. There is a further family bathroom with a large bath. On the mezzanine level is a fantastic games area complete with pool table/table tennis. Outside there are two patio areas to enjoy dining alfresco, plenty of seating space, a gas BBQ and for the real BBQ enthusiasts a ceramic egg BBQ. A hot tub completes the picture. A small part of the garden is enclosed to provide a safe area for your dog to roam free. There is ample parking for up to six cars. Ground floor Steps with handrail lead up to the main entrance. Hard flooring runs throughout the property, with the exception of bedrooms one and two. Kitchen/Dining/Family Room An impressive, fully vaulted ceiling provides the back-drop to the main open plan kitchen/dining room with beautiful grey stone flooring. This room is very much the heart of the property, and offers a space for the whole family to enjoy, perfect for entertaining. A bespoke ample size kitchen sits at one end, with beautiful handcrafted wooden flooring offering an array of space to cook up a storm. The kitchen features all of the mod-con's you need, these include an electric range-style oven with four ring induction hob and extractor fan above, under counter fridge, American-style fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. This room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and wine fridge. Family Bathroom Featuring a bath with over-head shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Bedroom 1 Located at the far end of the property, with french doors leading out onto the patio area. This wonderful ample size bedroom featured a wooden framed super-king bed, with bedside table and decorative lamps. There is ample storage provided with the double wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a 40'' TV with Sky provided as a luxury touch. En-suite Shower Room Featuring a beautiful walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom 2 A truly stunning calm and tranquil space to retreat to at the end of a day exploring. A scrumptious four-poster king size bed awaits, with side tables and lamps. There is a drawer unit and hooks for your belongings. En-suite Shower Room Featuring a beautiful walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom 3 Located off the dining area. Natural light fills this room through the expansive window looking out onto the side garden. This room is perfect for adults and children, with two full size single beds with bedside table between. There is a chest of drawers provided with a beautiful driftwood mirror above. Whilst this property does not have an en-suite, it does have a en-suite WC with wash basin, and is close to the family bathroom. Bedroom 4 Steps lead down from the kitchen into this room, with beautiful grey stone flooring. A stunning spacious room with vaulted ceiling, there is a king size bed with bedside tables and lamps. Ample storage is provided with a double wardrobe and chest of drawers. This room has the added bonus of a beautiful dressing table with mirror. En-suite Shower Room Featuring a beautiful walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Location The property is located just 600 yards from the Jungle Rooms @ The Wissett Plough, a cafe which also serves drinks and cocktails. Just over a mile from the Rumburgh Buck, a traditional pub, which offers good quality pub food and often has live music. Just under a mile away is Valley Farm Vineyards which offers tours and tasting and is highly recommended. For those who like to fish Halesworth Coarse Fishing Lakes and Willow Trout Lakes in Chediston are easily accessible.

The beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coastline features unspoilt heathlands and the RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve, whilst the internationally renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall, and the delightful coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh are all within a short drive. With the cities of Ipswich and Norwich both within touring distance, Halesworth is an ideal location from which to discover Suffolk.
