“Lovely accommodation in a Lovely part of the country.”

Nice sized enclosed garden area for the dog. Plenty of places nearby to visit. One or two little niceties to help enjoy the place addressed to Alice who I'm sure will remedy . All in all a very nice week. Jim and Sue.

“We visited in January and were met with a warm and welcoming holiday let.”

Plenty of piping hot water. Great facilities set in beautiful countryside. Lots of parking spaces. Lovely touch having a welcome goody bag and a bottle of wine, plus the owner even left goodies for dogs, a very nice touch! Fridge nice and cold. Oven works a treat. Plenty of books and games to choose from should you wish to stay in and just put your feet up. Definitely will return!

“It was perfect for our needs.”

The water was super hot - and shower good pressure too. It was lovely to be welcomed with a good pack this was such a nice touch particularly after a long drive. Its also great to have a host who is happy to welcome dogs too. Thank you. Location brilliant for us for visiting the locality and the annotated map which we referred to was super useful. It was my husband's birthday so having the kitchen was brilliant. However there was no large salad bowl or a bowl one could put cooked vegetables in. We improvised - but this may be an item for your cupboard. Otherwise thank you for trusting us with your property.

“Omg what a place we are already looking to book again next year when we can all get the time off.”

. couple of minor issues the toilet seat was a bit loose,one of the lights in the lounge flickers and in the twin room there wasnt a covering over the big window which lets light in didnt worry me because i get up early but my partner likes to lie in didn't impact our stay looking forward to exploring the beautiful grounds next time when we stay longer xx Thank you Alice for your hospitality we will definitely be back in the summer xx

“The farm was beautiful and the cottage was really lovely.”

Not as dog friendly as I would have liked/expected as there are pebbles everywhere, sometimes without a path and hurts the dogs paws. Also the cottage didn’t really come with the basics - e.g bin bags, kitchen roll, toilet bleach etc and we had to go out and purchase all of this ourselves so would recommend providing this for guests as we would have never thought to bring this with us. Overall would recommend.

“The Granary is situated in a beautiful, quiet spot well off the tiny lane.”

The grounds are gorgeous with multiple footpaths from your door. It'd be easy to not use your car at all and 'keep it local' but equally it is perfectly situated as a base to explore the gorgeous area of South Suffolk/North Essex. The Granary is spacious, well equipped and comfortable and the owners very accommodating. We were very grateful for the use of the swimming pool in the September heatwave but did not find time to make use of the well equipped barn games room and BBQ area. We will remedy that next time...... And there certainly will be another time!

“We had a great stay at The Granary.”

We are originally from the area, so were staying to visit family and friends locally. The accommodation was wonderful, with everything we required for a comfortable stay. The grounds were stunning, and there were plenty of options for walking our little dog right from the doorstep. Alice, the owner, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The games room was a great feature, and we enjoyed playing pool and table tennis during our stay. We were a little early for the pool to be open - but hopefully next time! We will definitely be back when we are next visiting Suffolk. All in all a fabulous location, great cottage and host, excellent facilities and would highly recommend.

“Wonderful stay - we felt very `at home` - Alice was welcoming without being intrusive - Loved the games room - the local walks and wildlife.”

Cottage was warm well appointed and well furnished - Really liked the array of crockery, utensils, glass and cookware that is often missing for those of us who like to cook ! Also that it seemed to have `evolved` rather than being plucked `off the shelf`.....added to the homely ambiance for us - We are already planning our return :)

It was perfect, what a lovely place to stay. Lovely walks and a relaxed atmosphere. The games room was great too. Alice was lovely, so friendly and welcoming making us feel at home. Overall a perfect break, and somewhere we would definitely stay again.

We’ve had such a lovely time exploring nearby villages and the walks on your doorstep. Your ford walk recommendation was lovely. Gorgeous countryside and houses. Loved the well stocked Polstead community shop. The boys loved being able to run about freely at Sprotts Farm and the games room was a massive hit. Thanks for the firefighters & marshmallows welcome bag (and the wine for mummy!) We definitely will be back.
