Check out our latest property, Christmas Cottage
This detached holiday cottage, built in 1560, has been lovingly restored, retaining it’s quirky character with the wonderful period features and introducing an eclectic mix of furnishings gathered by the owners on their travels – ideal for people who enjoy the impression of stepping back in time to a simpler way of life.
Positioned sideways to the road, Christmas Cottage is set back in a secluded garden with the path leading to the front door and a patio with table and chairs. The living room is at the heart of the cottage with open studwork nicely dividing it from the kitchen, making it a sociable reception area with original brick floor, beautiful beams and an impressive inglenook fireplace with wood burner. The single bedroom and bathroom are also on the ground floor, plus a utility room with back door to the garden.
As you mount the steep stairs to the charming double bedroom you can see a sample of the original clay infill exposed behind a glass panel. Accessed through the double, there’s an airy master bedroom with king size bed.
