The traditional Suffolk pink exterior of this fairy-tale cottage gives you a taste of the charming character within. Step back in time when you walk through the front door into the kitchen/dining room. The low beamed ceiling, brick fireplace, and Shaker-style kitchen give this room real personality. Furthermore, the electric oven and four ring ceramic hob, under-counter fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, as well as the freestanding microwave ensure functionality.
The living room is the perfect place to cosy-up on a winter day. Think large squashy sofas and roaring open fire, maybe with a hot chocolate or glass of wine. The wonderfully wonky floor with colourful eclectic rug and the massive inglenook fireplace are charmingly unique original features. These are complimented by the quality furnishings.
Quirky Beautiful Bedrooms
Historic integrity continues up the wooden stairs and into the three bedrooms. Each room has its own quirky original feature. First of all, gaze at the stars through the high window in the double-height master bedroom. Enjoy the brick chimney stack in the quaint single room. Finally, discover the magical little door into the wardrobe in the double bedroom. This room also has a wonderful wrought iron bed.

Discover History in Eye
The Thatched House is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore! The cottage is situated in a quiet spot on a country lane but within easy walking distance to Eye town centre. Eye is a picturesque market town in North Suffolk built around Eye Castle. The castle is one of the few surviving motte and bailey medieval castles. The castle is well worth exploring and has some great views!
With numerous listed buildings and a spectacular fifteenth-century Church, Eye is a great base to discover some history. Furthermore, Eye is also a charming market town with plenty of character and a peaceful atmosphere. There are lovely independent shops and a couple of eateries to check out. Also, be sure to check out the independent antique shops to discover some gems.
