We introduce Old Bakery, Clare – sleeps 8
Situated in Clare, Suffolk’s smallest town, you will find the Old Bakery which has an interesting history dating from the 18th century as a blacksmith’s, followed by an extension and change of use to a cobblers until the 20th century when it was converted into a bakery – hence the name! The Old Bakery has now been transformed by the owners into a stunning contemporary holiday rental property with some unique furniture imported from the owner’s travels in the Middle & Far East.
You will soon feel at home in this charming and friendly little town where the pace of life is just that bit slower. All the amenities that Clare has to offer – including pubs, cafés, excellent independent shops, an antiques warehouse and a country park complete with castle ruins – are within easy walking distance and the town makes an excellent base for exploring further afield in this pretty corner of Suffolk, the Constable country.
The Old Bakery is a beautiful large house with pretty garden and patio. There is a spacious open plan living/kitchen/conservatory, together with a comfortable sitting room, hallway and cloakroom on the ground floor. The three king size bedrooms on the first floor are equally stunning, as are the en-suite shower room and family bathroom and the twin adds a touch of fun for the kids!
