One of the joys of staying on the Suffolk coast are all of the walks you can take and we thought you would enjoy a series of photos taken by one of our team walking from his home in Aldeburgh up towards Dunwich Heath this weekend.<\/span><\/div>\n

The starting point – Aldeburgh beach on a crisp December morning \u2013 no-one in sight.<\/span><\/div>\n

We bumped into Duncan with his smoked fish hut.  Aldeburgh is a haven for locally produced food.<\/span><\/div>\n

Walking North towards Thorpeness you soon encounter Maggi Hamblings scallop sculpture, beautifully made by Sam and Dennis Pegg in Aldeburgh. <\/span><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The inscription comes from Benjamin Britten\u2019s famous opera Peter Grimes, composed in 1945.  Aldeburgh celebrates Brittens Centerary in 2013.<\/span><\/div>\n

Arriving in Thorpeness you will see Valetta<\/a>, one of our beautiful beach front properties.<\/span><\/div>\n

As you head inland you come across views of the Meare, next to which stands the charming seaside cottage \u2013 1 South Cottages<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n

Beyond the Meare and Sizewell opens a network of coastal forest and dune walks.  Soon you find yourself completely alone, surrounded by the tranquility of the Suffolk coastal scenery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before reaching Dunwich heath you pass through the internationally recognised bird reserve of Minsmere, where at this time of the year there are many migrating geese to be seen.<\/span><\/div>\n
