For those who want to literally ‘get away from it all’ and enjoy a truly unique experience, star gaze and sleep to the sounds of owls hooting, this is the perfect holiday accommodation – a quirky and cosy Shepherd’s Hut perched deep in Suffolk countryside on the banks of a large lake surrounded by rolling fields with an abundance of wildlife.
This bespoke accommodation, originally the living quarters for shepherds who were away from home during the lambing season, has modern comforts with electricity, a pull out bed, TV, en suite shower room, basic kitchen and charming seating area outside where you can relax in complete tranquillity. For a truly memorable experience, guests are welcomed by the owners at their home and escorted through the fields down to Shepherds Secret which sits in a spinney in a remote valley, surrounded by fields with a large lake to one side and river running behind.
This remote accommodation is charming and cosy with electric ‘wood burner’ for chilly nights and everything you could need for a relaxing day or good night’s sleep. Open steps lead to the stable door and inside there’s a sofa which pulls out into a double bed, a table and lamp beside it, a chair and a TV tucked into the corner plus a blanket box, shelf and clever hanging unit to hang and store your belongings.
The kitchen has a sink, kettle, toaster and everything you might need for breakfast or to prepare for a BBQ or light meal and, if you want to chill some beers, wine or groceries, a cooler box has been provided which you can lower into the stream and let nature take it’s course!At the back of the hut is a quaint shower room with corner shower, wash basin and WC so you can enjoy the freedom of camping with added luxury!
