A COUPLES LUXURY SUFFOLK SELF-CATERING HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION WITH A TURKISH BATH in Sweffling close to the East Coast.

Upper Alde Barn is a tasteful and lavish conversion of a period building, complete with a stunning open fire, galleried bedroom and its own Turkish steam bath.  Situated within the 32-acre grounds of Dernford Hall, guests can wander through enchanting paths to the banks of the River Alde.  It has a stunning indoor heated swimming pool, which is available for guests to use on application with the property owners.

On arrival guests will park across from Upper Alde Barn and cross the drive to the front door. Inside guests will find an entrance which opens to the large open plan living/dining room.  Beyond the dining area is a spacious bathroom with open shower and Turkish steam room.  Behind the living area is the kitchen, which accesses the enclosed back garden.  On the first floor is the gallery bedroom overlooking the living area and the stunning open fire.

GROUND FLOOR:  From the private parking area there is a short path to the entrance, which opens into a hallway with space for coats and boots.

LIVING/DINING ROOM: This room features a magnificent hearth with an open fire and two large purple feather-filled two-seater sofas and an armchair.  To one side of the hearth is a wood store and an old fashion lever that opens the flue to the open fire.  There is also a flat screen TV with FreeView channels, a DVD player and a stereo system.  The other end of the room is a dining table seating four.

BATHROOM:  A luxury bathroom with a roll top bath, W.C., large pedestal hand basin, an open walk-in shower with a large rain head, and a separate Turkish bath steam room with aromatherapy oils for your use.

KITCHEN:  There is wooden worktops, a four-ring electric hob, integrated AEG electric oven, a Bosch fridge with a small freezer compartment, and a Bosch slim-line dishwasher.

FIRST FLOOR:  Stairs lead from the dining area up to the galleried bedroom.

BEDROOM: This galleried bedroom overlooks the large hearth and open fire. There is a king-size bed, a hand basin and illuminated mirror, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a large storage area at the head of the bed where the bedside lamps are located.  There is also a flat screen TV with FreeView channels, a DVD player and a door which leads onto the balcony which overlooks the enclosed garden and open fields.

OUTSIDE:   There is private parking and a large enclosed back garden with a table and chairs.  The owners welcome you to explore the 32 acres of land they have stretching out to the River Alde.  Within the grounds there is a grass tennis court and an indoor heated pool.

This lovely barn conversion holiday let is situated in deep rural Suffolk countryside, yet it is less than half an hour away from the popular seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold.  It is across the lane from a working farm and pretty old farm cottages, and there are several walks on footpaths from the house.  The Rendham White Horse pub is less than 1 mile away and the Glemham Crown is around 2 miles.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

*By arrangement with the owners the indoor heated pool and grass tennis court (season depending) are available for use by guests.

This luxury barn conversion self-catering holiday let is equipped with an open fire and electric under floor heating.  Appliances include two flat screen TVs, FreeView TV channels, DVD player, WiFi Broadband, stereo system, four-ring electric hob, integrated AEG electric oven, Bosch fridge with small freezer compartment, and a Bosch slim-line dishwasher. There is carpeted flooring in the bedroom and on the stairs, the bathroom has tiled flooring.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome on request at the time of booking, subject to our terms and conditions.

Please note that the grass tennis court and indoor pool are permitted for use by arrangement with the owners.

Laundry and freezer facilities are available in a seperate building.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
