In the small village of Edwardstone, you will find this truly unique self-catering Suffolk country holiday cottage. Set amongst the expansive grounds of a country estate, there are acres of unspoilt countryside on your doorstep. Converted from what was originally the gate house to the Edwardstone Estate, you will now find a luxurious stylish self-catering Suffolk country holiday cottage tucked inside the historic building with an impressive octagonal turret.

Enter the Gate House through the back door into the welcoming entrance hall. To your left you will find the well equipped kitchen and pantry. To your right you will enter the unique octagonal tower and the cosy and comfortable living room. On the first floor is the spacious well-appointed bathroom with large bath and separate shower. Also on this floor is a king size bedroom. On the top floor and at the top of the tower is a further king-size bedroom. Both of these uniquely proportioned bedrooms have fabulous views across the unspoilt grounds of the Edwardstone estate, where you will see cows roaming freely!

Ground Floor: Enter through the back door into the entrance hall. Stairs lead to the first floor with the Kitchen on the left and living room on the right.

Kitchen: Light and spacious kitchen with pantry and beautiful traditional flooring. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you need.

Living Room:  A uniquely shaped room with original beams and plenty of soft seating to relax in comfort in front of the flat screen television.

First Floor: One flight of stairs takes you to the first floor, home to one bedroom and the bathroom.

Bathroom: The bathroom has a luxurious bath, separate shower W.C. and hand basin.

Bedroom 1: This first bedroom with king-size bed reflects the octagonal shape of the tower and enjoys views across the Edwardstone Estate.

Bedroom 2: Up one more flight of stairs you will find this bedroom with king-size bed at the very top of the tower, a perfect spot to watch the sun set over the grounds of the estate.

Outside: With an enclosed garden looking over the estate, the Gate House also has patio area with a picnic bench. There is off road parking with space for three cars.

This self-catering Suffolk country holiday cottage is at the entrance to what was Edwardstone hall. Although the hall itself has now been demolished, the Church of Edwardstone sits in the grounds. Nearby you will find the White Horse Pub, offering real Ale and Cider as well as locally sourced food.

Close by is the the popular tourist destination of Lavenham, one of Suffolk's old Wool towns and is a charming place to visit. A short drive will take you to the A12 which is the route towards the famous Heritage Coast as well as many of Suffolk's other attractions.

All prices for this self-catering Suffolk country holiday cottage include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start. The kitchen has an electric oven and hobs, slimline dishwasher, fridge in the pantry. The living room has a flat screen TV with Freeview channels. WiFi internet is available.

A travel cot and high chair can be made available on request at time of booking.

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our terms and conditions.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
