School Cottage is a lovely period terrace cottage tucked just off the High Street in the pretty village of Yoxford. It's ideal for a couples wishing to relax in it's comfortable interior on a weekend away and is very well placed for longer visits spent exploring the coast and countryside. A second cottage is available next door that sleeps 4 people, Blythburgh Cottage.

The cottage has a living room and kitchen/dining room downstairs and a double bedroom, shower room and dressing room upstairs. Outside there is a pretty enclosed cottage garden to the front of the cottage with decking and garden furniture and a small patio to the rear with further garden furniture.

Ground Floor:

Kitchen/dining room: The front door leads into the open kitchen/dining room with windows to the front and rear. There’s a dining table and seating for four people, gas cooker, dishwasher, a fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. A door leads out to the patio at the back.

Living room: This room has a wood burning stove for cosy winter nights in, a two seater sofa, flat screen TV, Sky Free Sat, DVD player, CD/radio player.  There is a selection of games, books and CDs.

Stairs from the dining area lead up to the first floor.

1st Floor:

Dressing room: The stairs open out to the dressing room which has an armchair, chest of drawers, a wardrobe and natural carpeting.

Bedroom: There’s a small wrought iron Victorian double bed (4” x 6” 3’) with lovely 100% cotton percale bed linen.

Shower room: With a shower, hand basin, w.c. and big fluffy towels.

Off-road parking is available to the front of the property for one small car

About Yoxford

The cottage is located in the picturesque village of Yoxford where facilities include a village store and a post office that sells organic produce, two pubs, a couple of restaurants, art galleries and several antique shops. 

The village is just off the A12, making it an ideal base to explore the Suffolk Heritage Coast, from Southwold and Walberswick and Dunwich (15 mins) to Aldeburgh and Thorpeness (20 mins).  Bicycles can usually be hired from nearby Darsham.  The nearest train station is at Darsham (1 mile).

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen and towels, gas and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

The property is equipped with gas central heating, wood-burning stove, flat screen TV, DVD player, CD/radio player, gas cooker, microwave, slimline dishwasher, and a fridge with freezer compartment.

Restrictions: Sorry no smoking, pets or unaccompanied teenagers permitted at the property.

Tariff

£270 for a 3 night weekend break, £270 for 4 night Monday to Friday break, and £220 for a 2 night break.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
