    “Our second visit and apartment just as we remembered last year.”

    As other guests have noted the main bedroom needs a hanging rail and a chair for clothes. This did not bother us as there were only 2 us us but would be a problem if the second bedroom was in use. We love Southwold and this apartment fits our needs perfectly

Located in the former Southwold Arms, above a quality independent mens clothing and footwear shop, the apartment has a private entrance off MacKenzie Mews to the rear of the building. The staircase leads to the amazing light and contemporary U shaped apartment, comprising living/dining/kitchen room overlooking the high street, a luxury guest bathroom plus two bedrooms at the back - one with an en-suite shower room First floor The glass fronted door to the apartment opens into a small hall where there’s space to leave footwear, coats and beach gear. Carpeted stairs rise to the large landing where doors open to the double bedroom, twin bedroom, family bathroom and open plan living area leading round to the dining area and kitchen beyond. There’s also an opening directly from the landing to the kitchen. The apartment has multiple inset lighting and oak floors throughout with rugs in the bedroom and living area. Kitchen/Living/Dining room The sun streams into the huge U shaped living/kitchen/dining room through three windows which face south overlooking the high street. This is a wonderful location for socialising with family and friends, The super modern kitchen area opens off the landing and is well equipped with integrated appliances including a fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Siemens double oven and ceramic hob with extractor ove Between the kitchen and living area is the dining table with four chairs plus two additional matching chairs are in the bedrooms in case you have visitors Relax in the living area with two comfortable sofas, plus a large sideboard with flat screen TV, games and DVDs for you to enjoy, occasional tables and some books housed in a fun boat shaped shelving unit. Double Bedroom Located at the back of the apartment, with a step down from the landing, the room overlooks a private courtyard, owned by the adjacent property. Furnished with a handsome double bed, matching bedside drawers, a larger chest of drawers and a chair. En Suite Bathroom Modern and fully tiled with bath and shower over, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Twin Bedroom There’s a step down to this large room with window overlooking MacKenzie Mews, furnished with twin beds on sturdy wooden frames, a chair good sized chest of drawers and hooks. Family bathroom room Stylish and fully tiled, this bathroom is adjacent to the twin bedroom and has a P shaped bath and shower over, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and window giving natural light. Outside There is no outside space at the Southwold Arms Apartment however guests can park in local car parks or on a side street where there is unrestricted parking. Spaces on the high street opposite the apartment are available for 30 minutes, convenient for loading and off loading. The access to the apartment is through a glass lobby located in MacKenzie Mews which is a private courtyard owned by the adjacent property, the courtyard is therefore limited to pedestrian access to the apartment only.

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
