The property

Shrimpers Cottage is in a short terrace of similar cottages and has a spacious living, kitchen, dining room on the ground floor, complete with handmade kitchen, wood-burning stove and windows to the front and back. Upstairs there is a bedroom with king-sized bed to the front of the property, a smaller single room to the rear and a contemporary wet room with shower and W.C. - outside there is a charming courtyard garden, ideal to relax in with drink and a good book in the evening. As a period seaside cottage, the stairs at Shrimpers are steep and may not be suitable to those with limited mobility. Ground Floor The front door enters from Park Road into the living area. Living/Kitchen/Dining Room: The front door leads into the light and bright combined living, kitchen, and dining space. There are a sofa and armchair situated around the wood-burning stove at one end, the dining table in the middle and magnificent hand-made kitchen with a door to the garden at the other end of the open plan space. There is a flat-screen TV, iPod docking station and a fully equipped kitchen with a Belfast sink, wooden worktops, Bosch slimline dishwasher, Bosch integrated electric oven and electric hobs, an integrated fridge with freezer compartment, Dualit toaster and Dualit kettle. First Floor As a period seaside cottage, the stairs at Shrimpers Cottage are steep and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. The steep cottage stairs lead up from the kitchen to the small landing above, which has doors to both bedrooms and the shower/wet room. Bedroom One A large room with a king-sized bed, this room has matching bedside tables with lamps, a large window at the front of the property and a built in wardrobe. Bedroom Two A single room to the rear of the property with a small child size single bed (2'6" wide rather than a full 3') with a bedside table and lamp, and a window looking over the courtyard garden to the rear. Shower/Wet Room This room is a luxury wet shower room; the room is fully tiled and has a large round rain shower head, contemporary hand basin, and a W.C. Outside The lovely cottage-style back garden is enclosed and has a table and chairs to seat four people. About the location

ALDEBURGH

Thorpeness 2.1 miles; Saxmundham 7.2 miles.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

Note: Sorry, no unaccompanied teenagers. Note: If you wish a travel cot and highchair to be available please request at time of booking. Note: Due to the age of the property the stairs are quite steep so may not suit those with limited mobility.
