You’re welcomed into bright new kitchen/breakfast room leading through to the lovely living room at the front of the cottage and stairs to the first floor. The large master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with separate shower and there’s an additional room, ideal for a child with comfortable day bed, or for your own use as a dressing/reading room.
Alinka is a surprisingly quiet cottage considering its' location at 11 King Street. The name originates from a 36ft yacht that the owners sailed over many seasons and a pair of Oars used in the tender can be seen in the living room as a fond keepsake, along with some artwork created by the talented owner. This mid terraced cottage was built around 1900 and extended after the second world war to add the luxury of an internal bathroom! There's some unrestricted parking close to the cottage and a public car park almost opposite.?
A stable door opens directly into the carpeted living room with a back door opening into the kitchen/breakfast room. Wooden stairs to the first floor are accessed through a door in the living room.
A warm welcome awaits you as you enter this sunny kitchen with sky lights allowing the daylight to flood in. The kitchen’s equipped with an electric oven, gas hob and extractor, slimline dishwasher and a fridge with two shelf freezer and a microwave tucked neatly into an alcove. Step up to the breakfast area, furnished with a table and four chairs.
This bright room is decorated in a palette of relaxing colours with coastal theme. A two seater sofa and comfy arm chair encourage you to sit back and enjoy a good book, and there’s a good mix of tables and dresser for the TV.
A door in the living room opens directly onto the steep stairs rising to the master bedroom with bathroom beyond and dressing room to the left. The entire first floor has wooden floors.
The king size bed takes pride of place under the sash window with bedside stools and a dressing table with stool which can double up as a desk if needs be.
Cleverly furnished to accommodate your needs, either as an extra bedroom with comfortable day bed which will be made up for you if required, or simply as a dressing room with hanging space and shelves.
Effectively an en suite off the master bedroom, with bath, corner shower cubicle, wash basin set in a vanity unit, WC, heated towel rail and natural light.
Alinka sits on King Street, just one street back from the seafront and conveniently close to a public car park where you can park for the entire stay by purchasing a long stay pass. The front door opens directly onto the street and there’s a side gate leading down a path to the kitchen door giving convenient access for buggies etc.
All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This charming terraced period holiday cottage is in a super location within a pebble’s throw of the beach and next door to the East Coast Café, an informal restaurant set in a light-filled and picturesque seaside coaching inn, now serving simple plates of food with a store selling delicious freshly ground Mozzo coffee, rare teas, cakes and doughnuts and, of course, the essential local ice creams.
Close to the high street in the picturesque town of Aldeburgh with its excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes and wide range of independent shops, convenience stores, art galleries and huts along the beach where local fishermen sell their wares.
The area is excellent for cycling, sailing or golf and there are many interesting walks and places to visit, including the nearby Aldeburgh Marshes, picture-postcard village of Thorpeness and world renowned Snape Maltings.

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.
A cot or high chair can be provided complimentary if arranged prior to your arrival.
The stairs are typical of a period cottage, relatively steep with narrow treads however there is a handrail all the way.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
