Family holiday cottage near Aldeburgh and Snape

This idyllic holiday cottage is situated in the pretty village of Friston, just a 10 minute drive from the bustling seaside town of Aldeburgh in Suffolk.  It’s an ideal spot to relax and unwind in a village setting whilst only a short drive to the beach, shops and restaurants.

On the ground floor there’s a living room with an open fire, a kitchen/dining room and a bathroom.  Upstairs are three bedrooms (2 double and 1 twin) and a shower room.  Outside at the back there’s off-road parking, a large cottage garden with mature shrubs and a children’s play area, and at the front there’s a further planted garden behind a low picket fence. 

Ground floor:

The front door leads into a large entrance hall.  

Living room:  This lovely room has an open fire and two fabric sofas and an armchair.  There’s a flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD/VHS player and cream carpet with rugs.

Kitchen/dining room:  The cream painted fitted kitchen has wooden work surfaces and a terracotta tiled floor and glazed patio doors that lead out to the pretty back garden.  Appliances include an electric hob and oven, an under counter fridge and freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave.  There’s a wooden dining table and six chairs.

Bathroom 1:  This has a bath, a w.c. and a hand basin.  A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a cupboard.

Straight stairs from the kitchen/dining room lead up to a first floor landing.

First floor:
Bedroom 1: A double bedroom with bedside tables and a chest of drawers and pine floor boards. 

Bedroom 2: A double bedroom with bedside tables, a tall chest of drawers and pine floor boards.

Bedroom 3: A twin bedroom with bedside tables and a small chest of drawers, cream carpet and views over the back garden.

Shower room:  There’s a shower, a w.c. and a small hand basin.

Outside: There’s a pretty back garden with mature shrubs and trees, a table and six chairs, and a path that leads around to a children’s play area and off-road parking for one car.

This mid-terrace Suffolk holiday cottage is in the pretty village of Friston, just 4 miles from Aldeburgh on the coast where you�ll find an excellent range of shops and restaurants and the beach. There are several good footpaths from Friston including a 2� mile walk to Snape where you�ll find two good food pubs: The Golden Key and The Crown. Also within easy reach of the property are several prestigious golf courses where you can enjoy a round of seaside golf. Saxmundham train station is about a 10 minute journey by taxi with connections to London.

All rental prices include bed linen and towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start. The property is equipped with oil-fired central heating, TV with Freeview, DVD/VHS player, CD/radio player, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and a BBQ.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the owners on request at the time of your booking.  The bedrooms have chests of drawers but no wardrobes.

Sorry, no smoking, pets or unaccompanied teenagers permitted at the property.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
