Self catering holiday cottage with sea views

Pied à Mer is a delightful self-catering bolt-hole for two in Aldeburgh enjoys lovely views of the beach and fishermen’s boats from its front window – look left and you can see Aldeburgh’s famous Moot Hall, and right to see right down the town’s bustling High Street. 

This 1st first floor apartment is situated just off the High Street on Crabbe Street, very close to the beach and the owners have thoughtfully provided deck chairs so you can treat the nearby beach as your adopted garden.  There’s an open plan kitchen/living room, a bedroom (king size) and a bathroom, just the perfect size for two by the seaside.

The front door leads to a small hallway and stairs up to the first floor open plan kitchen/living room.

Kitchen/living room:

The living area has a three seater sofa, a large coffee table, a TV with FreeSat channels and a DVD player.  But best of all is that view that we’ve already mentioned, it’s a colourful medley of partial sea views, fishermen’s boats, red brick buildings, roof tops, historic buildings and shops.  You can even see whether there’s a queue to buy freshly caught fish from the black painted fisherman’s hut on the beach. 

The kitchen area has a granite worktop incorporating a breakfast-bar style dining area, with two high bar chairs and a wooden floor.  Appliances include an electric hob and oven, a slimline dishwasher, a microwave, a fridge with a freezer compartment and a combined washing machine/tumble dryer.

Bedroom: There’s a hotel quality Vi-Spring superking bed with White Company bedding including goosedown pillows and duvet.  There are bedside tables, a chest of drawers, a large built in wardrobe and cream carpet.  A large window looks out across the High Street.

Bathroom: There’s a bath with a shower over it, a hand basin, a w.c. and a heated towel rail.

Outside:  On road parking can often be found in nearby side streets.  Alternatively you may like to park in the Oakley Square pay and display car park just opposite the property.  Access to the beach is across the road on the other side of the pay and display car park.

The owners of Pied à Mer own and run the well known and popular Regatta Restaurant just a few minutes walk down the High Street.  Pied à Mer guests are entitled to a 10% discount on their meals at Regatta for the duration of their stay, vouchers are provided in the welcome pack.

This self catering accommodation is centrally situated in Aldeburgh, just moments from the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels (including beach towels), heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This modern apartment is equipped with electric heating.  Appliances include a TV with FreeSat channels, DVD/CD player, electric hob and electric oven, slimline dishwasher, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a washer/dryer and a microwave.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
