Suffolk holiday accommodation within easy striking distance to the Suffolk coast.

Packway Barn is a wonderful contemporary converted farm building set in the large grounds of a Tudor farmhouse.  It’s deep in the Suffolk countryside, with the historic market town of Halesworth just two miles away and the renowned coastal resort of Southwold only 20 minutes drive beyond that.  It's an ideal base for couples or small families to escape from it all, enjoy the luxurious interiors and explore the delights that East Suffolk has to offer.

Packway Barn is a testament to the talents of its creative owners, who work in the fields of design and fashion.  The property is on one floor and has a large living/kitchen/dining area with the bedrooms and bathrooms beyond.  The lovely second double bedroom comes complete with an open fire and en-suite bathroom, and is accessed through the first double bedroom, meaning this property is ideal for couples, small families and people who know each other well!

Ground floor: The front door leads into the spacious open plan living area.

KITCHEN/LIVING/DINING ROOM:  This has large wood-burning stove as well as the 42 inch Samsung flat screen TV and DVD player. The sitting area has a generous corner sofa/chaise longue and a contemporary chair.  The dining area is in the centre of this open plan room with a glass dining table seating six. The fully equipped kitchen is fitted along the length of the back wall: there is a Belfast sink, an integrated Neff electric hob and oven, an integrated fridge with freezer compartment, an integrated dishwasher and a feature retro Smeg fridge.

BEDROOM 2: This is ‘walk through’ bedroom housing a double bed with a vaulted ceiling and en-suite shower room.  There are matching bedside tables with lamps and a two-door wardrobe. Access to Bedroom 1 is through this bedroom.

SHOWER ROOM:  En-suite to bedroom two, this shower room has a corner shower cubicle, a w.c. and a hand basin.

BEDROOM 1: A lovely large room with a double bed featuring an open fire and an en-suite bathroom. There are matching bedside tables with lamps, a chest of drawers and a two-door wardrobe.

BATHROOM: En-suite to bedroom one, this room has a bath with a shower over it, a w.c. and a hand basin.

OUTSIDE:  There is off-road parking and a large garden to the front of the cottage.  Outside table and chairs are available for enjoying on beautiful days. 

The property is two miles from the historic town of Halesworth which has the New Cut Art centre - which offers music, dance, comedy and cinema, a number of pubs - one of which is the 16th Century Angel Inn, restaurants and a supermarket.  The beautiful historic close is just a short drive away, including the sandy beach at Southwold and picturesque Walberswick (both around 20 mins drive). 

Henham park is only 10 minutes away where they hold the annual Latitude Festival in July - this is one of Suffolk's biggest events where thousands come together to enjoy live music and artistic talents. 

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

Packway Barn is equipped with electric heating, a wood-burning stove and an open fire.  Appliances include a 42 inch Samsung flat screen TV with FreeView channels, a DVD player, and a CD player with an iPod docking station, Neff integrated electric hob and oven, integrated dishwasher, integrated fridge with freezer compartment and a retro Smeg fridge/freezer.  There is wood flooring in living/kitchen/dining area and terra cotta tiling in the bedrooms, shower room and bathroom. WiFi internet is available at the barn.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

A well-behaved dog is welcome on request at the time of booking, subject to our terms and conditions.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
