Suffolk Seaside Self-Catering Accommodation in a Country House Setting

Mulberry Lodge offers guests the magnificence and grandeur of country house living whilst being only a few minutes walk from Aldeburgh's High St and beach. The property contains one of the principle rooms of the former Uplands Hotel and a large section of it's garden and ample parking. This is set behind a high wall meaning you'll be living in a world of your own whilst all that Aldeburgh has to offer is on your doorstep.

Having parked, you'll arrive at Mulberry Lodge via a gravel path, through a gate into the beautifully landscaped gardens. Entering via a set of French doors there is a kitchen/diner with an Aga and granite tops, beyond which is the magnificent drawing room with dining table and soft seating around the fireplace. Upstairs all three bedrooms and the family bathroom are accessed via the hallway. The twin room and master double have en-suite shower rooms.

Ground Floor:The double French doors of the main access door lead straight into the kitchen/diner, up two steps from the patio.

Kitchen/Diner:This is fully equipped with a electric-powered Aga, Siemens gas hob, Siemens double oven, dishwasher and double sink with granite work tops and kitchen table seating six.

Living/dining room:A magnificent room, with ornate plaster ceiling, large stone fireplace and parquet floor with windows overlooking the front and side gardens. This room has soft seating with three large sofas and two armchairs and there is a dining table seating eight. There is a 40 inch Toshiba TV with FreeView and a DVD player.

CLOAKROOM: With W.C and hand basin, leading off the living/dining room.

1st floor:A central landing at the top of a straight flight of stairs leads to the landing, from which all the bedroom and family bathroom can be reached.

Bedroom 1:With a large window overlooking the garden this large room has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, with a door leading to its en-suite.

en-suite to bedroom 1: With Shower, W.C. and hand basin.

BEDROOM 2: With a double bed and window overlooking the garden, also with wardrobe, bed side tables and a dressing table.

BEDROOM 3: With twin beds, a wardrobe, dressing table and door leading to the en-suite shower room.

EN-SUITE to BED 3: With Shower, W.C and hand basin.

FAMILY BATHROOM: Bath, with shower over, basin and W.C.

OUTSIDE: Mulberry Lodge has large gardens surrounding it on two sides, with a patio area outside the kitchen doors and a large lawn area bounded by mature trees and shrubs. The property is reached via a gravel path from the off-road parking area. There is also a further area of communal gardens, shared with a small number of other properties.

Mulberry Lodge is a large self-catering house located within a 5-10 minute walk of Aldeburgh's High Street in Suffolk. Aldeburgh is a popular seaside town with many independent shops, restaurants, art galleries and an unspoilt beach.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

Mulberry Lodge is equipped with central heating and an open fire. Appliances include a 40 inch flat screen TV with FreeView channels, a DVD player, and an iPod docking station. In the kitchen there is a electric fired Aga, a Siemens gas hob and Siemens double oven, full sized dishwasher and a fridge freezer. There is tiled flooring in the kitchen, parquet flooring in the living room and the upstairs is mainly carpeted.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
