Aldeburgh holiday accommodation

Kittiwake is perhaps the quintessential cottage in Aldeburgh, with a pretty facade, central location on the High Street and a thoughtfully enhanced interior with classy new features. Whilst celebrating its original charm, this holiday home has the atmosphere of a classy country house, right by the seaside!

The cottage has a generous sitting room with open fire, a large kitchen diner, with utility room and W.C. On the first floor there is a large master bedroom, a second double bedroom and a separate family bathroom. Outside there is a charming cottage garden, with a table and chairs.

Ground floor: Guests will enter this lovely cottage from the High Street, through the front door into the charming and cosy sitting room.

Sitting Room: A sofa, a high back armchair and two Ercol armchairs are positioned around the gas fire, there is also a 32 inch LG flat screen TV with integrated FreeView, DVD player, VCR for those classics, and a CD player with an iPod docking station. The room opens to the kitchen, forming one large living/kitchen/dining space and to the front of the room a period sash window overlooks the paved front garden.

Kitchen Dining Room: The recently re-fitted, fully equipped hand-made kitchen has a Smeg stainless steel cooker with gas hobs and an electric fan assisted oven, integrated fridge with small freezer compartment, a Bosch stainless steel microwave and a Dualit toaster. In the middle of the room is a round dining table, seating 4, with a real flame gas stove in the hearth, making this a cosy and warm space to prepare and enjoy meals. There is a window to the rear which allows natural light in a W.C. is found off the back corner of the room.

Utility Room: This practical space has the property's back door, this accesses an alley way to Park Road, is an ideal boot and coat room and is home to the washing machine, Bosch dishwasher and a second sink.

First floor: Straight stairs lead from the sitting room to the first floor landing.

Master Bedroom: A king-sized bed is the centre piece of this delightful room - which looks out over the front garden and Aldeburgh High Street. There are two matching bedside tables with lamps, two built in wardrobes and a couple free-standing storage spaces. The Master bedroom reached via three steps from the landing and has an open galleried wall with banister railings that looks over the stairs and first floor landing.

Bathroom: This room has a fun seaside theme, a full size bath with an overhead shower, a hand basin and W.C.

Bedroom 2: This room has a double bed with a chest of drawers a bedside table and two matching bedside lamps, there a fun open boat shelving unit and a window to the rear of the property.

Outside: A charming enclosed paved cottage garden to the front of the cottage provides the main outside space for guest to enjoy, this is the ideal location to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine - there is a table and seating two and a bench set behind that can seat another two - with the High Street in front of you, this is the perfect place to watch the world go by! On road parking is usually available on the High Street just beyond the junction with Park Road, so only moments away.

This stylish holiday cottage is located close to the beach and shops in the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast. The town has an excellent range of restaurants, pubs and shops.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This mid-terrace cottage is equipped with gas central heating and a gas fire. Appliances include a 32 inch LG flat screen TV with FreeView, DVD player, VCR, and CD player with an iPod docking station, a Smeg cooker with gas hobs and an electric fan assisted oven, Bosch dishwasher, integrated fridge with small freezer compartment, washing machine and a Bosch microwave.  There is carpeted flooring in the sitting room, on the stairs and in the bedrooms, the bathroom has laminate flooring and the kitchen and utility room has tiled flooring.The property has WiFi access but please note there is no telephone support for this.
A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

Sorry, no smoking or unaccompanied teenagers.  A well-behaved dog is welcome. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
