Set in idyllic rural Suffolk countryside in the heart of the historic Kenton Hall Estate, the Traveller’s Hut, offers an exceptional “glamping” experience in a traditional woodland setting. You’ll have a unique experience, be it snuggling up in the warm and costy interior beside the wood burning stove, or relaxing on the decking by the BBQ on a summer’s evening!
You’ll enter the Estate along a long tree-lined drive, passing the moated Kenton Hall manor house and parking beyond this in the allocated Glamping parking spaces. Your Traveller’s Hut is then reached via a short path into the woods. The Hut itself has a king size bed, stove and soft seating. There is a separate structure reached over a decked area that has a barrel roofed private shower room and a covered BBQ/sitting area. Further into the woods, along a path is a central ‘Hub’ building, serving two holiday properties. The shared Hub has a kitchen, clay oven and a seating area – all under a canopy supported by the surrounding trees.
GROUND FLOOR: The accommodation comprises a single story Traveller’s Hut, private shower room, outside decked area with a partial canopy and shared use of the Hub building with kitchen and dining facilities.
THE TRAVELLER’S HUT: A single large round room with built-in king sized bed, wood burning stove, built in wardrobe with drawers below and bedside tables.
SHOWER ROOM: Housed in a modern, bespoke structure with underfloor heating, this room comprises a shower, W.C. and basin and is for your exclusive use.
HUB BUILDING: Shared with the The Yurt this building has a kitchen/dining area and seating for meals, under a canopy supported by the surrounding trees.
OUTSIDE: There is a decked area, partially under a canopy, with a BBQ area and surrounded by trees. There is car parking and hard paths between all of the buildings.
The Kenton Hall Estate is situated just outside the historic and picturesque village of Debenham, home to the Angel pub which enjoys an excellent local reputation. The area is deep in the Suffolk countryside, peppered with ancient villages, rural pubs and long walks, some of which start from the Estate. The Suffolk coast, with the renowned towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold are about an hours drive away.
All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, logs for your heating, electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
The Traveller's Lodge at Kenton Hall is equipped with a wood-burning stove for heating. Appliances include an iPod docking station. In the Hub there is an equipped kitchen with an electric hob, integrated oven, dishwasher, and fridge with freezer compartment. The kitchen cupboards contain all of the usual things that you’d expect to find in one of our holiday cottages including pots, pans and utensils.
Sorry, no smoking, children, pets or unaccompanied teenagers.
