Froyz Hall Barn is a beautiful converted granary with a magnificent 40 ft living/dining room. This stunning property is located in the grounds of a country estate and has access to woodland walks, a tennis court, a children’s play area, a private lake and fishing. The pretty Suffolk villages of Lavenham, Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish are around 30 minutes away.
The barn successfully combines the historic with the new and has a large open plan living/dining room with exposed roof and wall timbers, a fitted kitchen, a ground floor double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a double bedroom and a family bedroom upstairs and two shower rooms (one on each floor). It's ideal for family groups and friends with plenty to do outside as well as in.
Ground Floor:
Living/dining room: The front door leads into a magnificent room with exposed wall timbers. There are three large comfy sofas and an armchair, a wood burning stove, candelabra, and a flat screen TV with DVD player. The wooden floors are painted and there’s a large Turkish rug. At the other end of the room there’s a large dining table and eight leather dining chairs, another sofa and patio doors leading out to the outdoor heated swimming pool which is shared with the owners of the barn who live in the house next door.
Shower room 1: There’s a shower room just off the dining area that’s particularly handy after having a dip in the pool. It has a large shower, hand basin and w.c.
Kitchen: A door leads from the living room to the spacious and well-equipped Christians kitchen that has a large Rangemaster range cooker, a butler sink, American fridge-freezer, Neff dishwasher and a washing machine.
Master Bedroom and en suite bathroom: A lovely spacious, ground floor, double bedroom with an antique French bed and access through the kitchen. There’s a luxurious large en suite bathroom with a free standing claw feet bath in the centre of the room, a hand basin and a w.c. and under-floor heating.
1st Floor:
Stairs next to the kitchen lead up to the first floor landing.
Bedroom 2: This large family bedroom has a double bed and a single bed with bedside tables, a sofa, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: This king size bedroom is accessed through bedroom 2 and has a double bed, bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
Shower room 2: There’s a small shower room at the top of the stairs with a shower, hand basin and w.c.
Outside is a 40 foot swimming pool which is heated from May to August and guests have shared use with the owners. There’s also a patio and a BBQ.
About the area
The barn is located on the estate of a former farm. It has woodland walks, a tennis court, a children’s play area, a private lake and fishing. It is on the Essex-Suffolk border and the pretty Suffolk villages of Lavenham, Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish are around 30 minutes drive away. The barn is close to other farm buildings but feels very private inside.
What’s included?
All prices include bed linen, towels, gas and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
The property is equipped with storage heaters. There is a TV, DVD/CD player, Rangemaster cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and BBQ. A microwave can be provided on request. A good selection of books, DVDs and games are provided. A travel cot and high chair are also available.
Restrictions: Sorry no smoking or unaccompanied teenagers. A well-behaved dog can be accommodated on request at the time of booking, but is not permitted in the bedrooms.
Tariff
£895 to £1250 a week depending on the time of year. Weekend and mid-week breaks are available when there is late availability - check the online calendar for details.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
