About the property

For farmyard chic look no further than The Dairy Cottage! This former dairy building is tucked away down a mile long track in a homestead between Aldeburgh and Snape. When you aren't relaxing in this lovely retreat you could be walking the Sailors' Path to Snape where you'll find good pubs, a village shop and both music and shopping at the internationally renowned Snape Maltings.

The Dairy Cottage has been turned into a stylish ground floor apartment for two with high ceilings and has one bedroom (with a king size bed), an en-suite bath/shower room, a large kitchen and even bigger living room complete with a Balinese day bed. Sliding glass doors leading out to a huge garden.

The accommodation

Kitchen/dining room: The front door leads into a spacious kitchen. It has fitted kitchen units, a vintage 1950s pantry and a wooden table and chairs. There's a slimline dishwasher, electric cooker and hood, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. In keeping with this old farm building there are large overhead farm-style steel lampshades and two red brick original walls.

Doors lead through to the bedroom on the left and the living room on the right.

Living room: The large living room has super wall-of-glass doors that open up to the garden beyond. There's a sofa and armchair by a wood burning stove - but if you are really in the mood to relax try out the Balinese day bed complete with a big comfy mattress and masses of cushions. There's a flat screen TV, DVD player, Ipod docker, Sky Freeview channels and broadband access.

Bedroom: This light and airy room has a king size white-painted bed, an open wardrobe with shelves and a window with views of the garden.

En-suite: There's a bath with a shower over it, a hand basin and a w.c. A cupboard hides away the washing machine.

Outside: There's a large lawned garden with a table and chairs for outside dining and parking for two cars. Beyond the garden is a small family homestead surrounded by oak trees and fields. The 'Sailors Path' footpath leads to Snape or Aldeburgh. Expect to see the occasional chicken wandering around! This ground floor self-catering apartment is located down a mile-long single track road - you'll find a few pot-holes along the way which makes this property tricky for those with low-riding cars.
