This luxury holiday cottage is a romantic hideaway for a couple. The building is a new oak-framed barn that has been cleverly laid out to give a spacious relaxing atmosphere, with exposed roof beams and a sophisticated interior. It is situated on the edge of the historic market village of Eye in Suffolk. The property has WiFi access.
There's an open plan living area with stylish furniture, a bedroom with a modern oak four-poster bed and an en-suite wet room. Large glass doors lead out to a patio where you could enjoy a glass of wine or two in the dabbled shade under an old walnut tree, with views over rolling farm fields.
Living area: The front door leads into the open plan living space with exposed oak beams. In the living area there's a large red leather corner sofa with cushions, a 37” flat screen TV with freeview and a DVD player, a Isamu Noguchi designer coffee table and a sideboard.
Dining/kitchen: The dining area has a round glass table and the kitchen has a built in fan assisted oven, touch control ceramic hob with black gloss doors and a wood block-work surface. The appliances include a Dualit toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave and washing machine. There are large glass patio doors with views over the garden and fields beyond.
Bedroom: The bedroom has a king-size four poster oak bed with a pocket sprung mattress all covered with crisp Egyptian cotton sheets and a goose down duvet. Storage is provided in a floating wall mounted drawers with wardrobe space.
En-suite shower room: This wet room is decorated with mosaics and fitted with an Aqualisa power shower, hand basin and w.c.
Underfloor heating throughout the barn ensures you’ll be warm enough, whatever the weather.
Outside: The cottage is situated in the grounds of a stylish B&B on a peaceful private lane lined with oak trees with off-road parking. Surrounded by at least an acre of gardens which are home to the owner’s resident chickens, it is a lovely place to relax.
This self-catering holiday cottage is situated on the edge of the historic village of Eye, near Diss. Eye is situated on the River Dove and has a small supermarket, butchers, post office, newsagent and a deli. There' an interesting selection of antique shops to browse and the remains of a small castle to walk around. There are several good pubs and restaurants a short drive from the village including The Fox and Goose at Fressingfield, The Swan Inn at Hoxne and Momiji Japanese restaurant at Harleston.
The area is ideal for walking or cycling with the cottage is situated on the Mid-Suffolk way footpath and close to many historic villages. Nearby attractions accessible by car include Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum (20 mins), the coastal havens of Southwold and Walberswick (30 mins), Minsmere nature reserve (40 mins).
Sailing enthusiasts can enjoy activities on the Norfolk Broads near the beautiful city of Norwich, or on the estuary of the River Deben.Flatford Mill for Constable lovers and the Newmarket races are only 40 minutes by car. For the wine connoisseur why not treat yourselves to an experience day at Shawsgate Vineyard (20 mins), or enjoy the delights of Wyken Vineyard (15 mins).
Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich are all about 30 minutes away by car and there are many pretty villages in the area to explore during your stay.

The accommodation is equipped with underfloor heating, flat screen TV, DVD player, CD/radio player, WiFi (although please note that there is no helpline support for this), Ipod dock (Bose sound system), electric hob and oven, microwave, washing machine, and a fridge with freezer compartment. A travel cot is available on request for babies under 10 months.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a bank transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card payments.
