“A lovely week in your cosy, beautifully kitted-out flat. The sun in the morning is a treat upstairs. The best place we have stayed in Aldeburgh (since 1969!) by far. Thank you”
A light and airy compact two-storey apartment centrally positioned in the heart of Aldeburgh on the High Street. The town's shops and restaurants are all but moments away! As the name suggests, it's a wonderful bolt-hole and perfect for people watching as it looks over the bustling high street.
Tucked away above one of the High Street shops, stairs lead from the front door to a first floor hallway with doors to an open plan living area, single bedroom with an additional pull-out bed, shower room and stairs to the double bedroom on the 2nd floor.
The front door opens to a staircase to the first floor where there's a hallway.
Open plan living space: This is tastefully furnished with a three seater cream sofa and single leather chair. Although the room isn't overly big it has been carefully laid out with a kitchenette and a folding dining table and chairs to make it feel spacious. There's a flat screen TV with a digital box, an Ipod docking station with a CD player and a DVD player. Plus it's a great spot to enjoy some people-watching through the two windows that overlook the high street!
Bedroom 2: This single bedroom has an additional pull-out single bed to which can be made up on request. Circulation space is limited when the pull-out bed is being used. There’s a directors chair and a wardrobe with drawers.
Shower room: Next to the single bedroom is a shower room with shower, w.c. and hand basin.
Stairs from the hallway lead directly into Bedroom 1 on the 2nd floor (please note there is no door, but it feels very private).
Bedroom 1: The room catches the morning sun, so it's a relaxing place to read in bed with a cup of coffee on a lazy morning. There is a double bed, small wardrobe with drawers and two bedside tables. Two Velux windows look out across the High Street, with a glimpse of the sea over the rooftops. With the window open, it's a pleasant place to stand with a glass of wine after a busy day at the beach. This room has sloping ceilings and restricted head height either side of the bed.
Parking is restricted on the High Street but itis usually possible to park on The Terrace and King Street nearby.
The apartment is situated above a wine shop towards the centre of the High Street, making it ideal if you'd like to be close to the town's popular shops and restaurants. The beach is a minutes walk away.
All prices include bed linen, towels, gas and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits or chocolates to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
The property is equipped with TV with a digital box, DVD/CD players, Ipod docking station, stainless steel hob and oven, and fridge with freezer compartment. A travel cot and high chair are available. Please note that there is no microwave, dishwasher or washing machine.
Sorry no smoking, pets, or unaccompanied teenagers permitted at this property.
Head height is restricted in the double bedroom due to the sloping ceilings.
The apartment is situated above the Mark1 wine shop, next to Munchies.
Circulation space in the single bedroom is limited if the additional pull-out bed is also in use.
