Suffolk self-catering holiday accommodation with sea views in Aldeburgh.

After a busy career at sea, what Admiral would not like to rest in this lovely apartment!   With views of both the sea and the River Alde marshes, it is located at the southern end of Aldeburgh High Street in a private courtyard which has a friendly, secure feel to it, and is very quiet.  Within walking distance there are the beach, lovely restaurants and boutique shops, and Aldeburgh’s own cinema.   For sports fans, there are tennis courts, sailing and a public golf course.

Furnished to the highest standard, this property benefits from both bedrooms having en-suite facilities.  Guests can park in Admiral's Rest's allocated parking space and take an external flight of stairs up to the apartment’s front door, which leads to the living/dining space, beyond which are the kitchen and twin bedroom - both with a view of the marshes - and en-suite shower room.  Upstairs, there is the master bedroom suite with a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom...and of course a wonderful view of the sea!

GROUND FLOOR:  From the private parking spot in Coastguard Court there is a set of stairs that lead from the courtyard to a mid-way landing where you turn back on yourself to ascend the remaining stairs to the first floor.

FIRST FLOOR:  At the top of the external stairs there is a private walkway/terrace outside the sitting room window with a bench (and also space to store bikes).   This is a lovely sunny area for your morning coffee!   Once inside the apartment, there is a small entrance lobby with a door to the left leading into the Sitting/Dining Room and stairs to the second floor straight ahead. 

SITTING/DINING ROOM:  This beautifully furnished room has a large three-seater sofa and a designer ‘Egg’ chair for soft seating, a flat screen TV with FreeView channels and a DVD player, and an iPod docking station. A modern electric fire with a LCD screen showing moving flames and with the sound of crackling wood, provides an interesting touch!   Imagine a cold/windy day in Aldeburgh with this fire to come back to!  In the dining area there is a table seating four.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is next to the Sitting/Dining Room and is small but well equipped with an integrated tall fridge-freezer, a six-ring gas hob with electric oven range, an integrated dishwasher and a microwave. 

BEDROOM 1:  A twin bedroom with two full size single beds, a spacious wardrobe, a shared bedside table and an en-suite shower room.

EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM:  There is a small shower cubicle, a hand basin and a W.C.

SECOND FLOOR:  From the small entrance lobby a set of stairs lead to the second floor landing.

BEDROOM 2:  From the second floor landing you enter the main bedroom, which has a view of the sea from the window, a king-size bed, two matching bedside tables, a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom. 

EN-SUITE BATHROOM:  There is a bath with a hand held shower attachment, a hand basin and a W.C. 

OUTSIDE: There is a private parking spot for one car, and on the first floor there is a walkway/terrace. 

This lovely apartment is located moments from the beach and shops on Aldeburgh High Street.  Aldeburgh has an excellent range of restaurants, pubs and shops and there are pretty walks around the marsh and to Thorpeness. All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

Admiral’s Rest is equipped with gas central heating and an electric fireplace.  Appliances include a flat screen TV with FreeView channels, a DVD player, an iPod docking station and WiFi broadband. In the kitchen there is an integrated tall fridge-freezer, a six-ring gas hob with electric oven range, an integrated dishwasher and a microwave.  There is laminate flooring in the sitting/dining room and bedroom 1, tiled flooring in the kitchen, lino in the en-suites and natural coir carpeting on the stairs and in bedroom 2.

A travel cot, high chair and stairgate are available at the property.

The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
