64 Crag Path has arguably the best position of any holiday cottage in Aldeburgh, with direct sea views from the front rooms, terraces on the roof and first floor, but also stunning views of the River Alde and Aldeburgh marshes from the rear bedrooms and roof. This spacious house offers an array of accommodation over five floors, making the property ideal for large families or small groups looking to holiday.
Guests will enter on the ground floor, which has a utility room and Family Room as well as a W.C. On the first floor is an open plan kitchen/dining room and the main sitting room which has French doors to the front terrace overlooking the sea. The second floor are two large bedrooms - one with a king size bed and direct sea views, the other a twin with views over the marshes - and a luxury shower room. The third floor has two further bedrooms: the master bedroom with stunning views of the sea and with a king size bed; a bathroom, a separate W.C. and a second twin bedroom with views over the marshes. Upstairs is a stunning roof terrace with views all around Aldeburgh, including the town itself, the sea, marshes and river.
Ground floor:
hallway:From King Street guests will enter at the ground floor level into a hallway with space to store your foot wear and coats.
Family Room: A fun, colourful room with a sofa, children’s games, a 32-inch flat screen TV and lots of books.
Utility Room: This room has a Belfast sink and wood worktops, a washer, a dryer and a larger American style stainless steel fridge-freezer.
Cloakroom: This has a hand basin and a W.C.
first floor:
Sitting Room: A lovely feature of this room is French doors opening onto the fenced-in terrace on Crag Path with Aldeburgh’s beach right on your doorstep the otherwise of Crag Path lane. There are two armchairs and a sofa for soft seating in this room, a flat screen TV with Sky Freesat channels, a DVD player and two end tables.
Kitchen/Diner: A large room with a wood table seating eight, the fully equipped kitchen has a five-ring gas hob, an integrated electric oven, an integrated dishwasher, an integrated fridge with small freezer compartment, and plenty of cupboard space.
Second Floor:
From the first floor landing angled stairs lead to the second floor landing.
Bedroom 1: A large bedroom with direct sea views and a king size bed. In the room is a small bench with cushions on the window ledge, a chest of drawers, matching bedside tables, and a two-door wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: This twin room has two full size single beds and views of Alde River. There are matching bedside tables, a two-door wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Shower Room: A luxury shower room with a large shower cubicle, a hand basin and a W.C.
Third Floor:
Angled stairs lead from the second floor landing to the third floor landing which has a large skylight.
Master Bedroom: French doors opening to a Juliet balcony overlooking the Aldeburgh beach and miles of sea beyond. There is a king size bed, two matching bedside tables, two two-door wardrobes, and a chest of drawers.
Bedroom 3: A large twin bedroom with two full size single beds and views over the Alde River and marshes. There are matching bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a two-door wardrobe.
Bathroom: The luxury bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and a hand basin.
Cloakroom: This room has a hand basin and a W.C.
Fourth Floor:
From the third floor landing angled stairs lead into the roof top conservatory.
Roof Top Conservatory: With fabulous views! An interesting feature of this room is the partial glass floor, which becomes the skylight on the third floor. There are a number of folding chairs for use in the conservatory or on one of the roof top terraces.
Outside:This holiday home has three fantastic outside spaces. The first is the patio terrace on Crag Path from the sitting room on the first floor, there are table and chairs for eight, and the wood planked patio is enclosed with a low picket fence with a gate leading onto Crag Path – this is a perfect place to be among all of the buzz of Aldeburgh. The other two outside spaces are on the forth floor – there are two roof top terraces separated by the roof top conservatory. There is a larger roof top terrace on the seaside with fabulous views where you can view the entire Aldeburgh beach, there is even a hammock, and near the wall to the sea is a raised bit of patio so watch your step. The roof top terrace to the opposite side of conservatory is a bit smaller with magnificent views of the river and the marshes. Wire fences enclose both roof top terraces. There is a first come first serve parking on King Street and Crag Path or guests may choose to park Pay and Display car park.
This Aldeburgh holiday let has a super location on Aldeburgh's seafront, Crag Path, and is a very short walk to shops, restaurants and galleries on Aldeburgh High Street.
All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
This large self-catering holiday accommodation in Aldeburgh is equipped with gas central heating. Appliances include two flat screen TVs with Sky Freesat channels, a DVD player, and CD player with an iPod docking station, five-ring gas hob, integrated electric oven, an integrated fridge with small freezer compartment, an integrated dishwasher, an American style fridge-freezer, a washer, a dryer, and a microwave.
There is coir carpeting on all the stairs, landings and in the roof top conservatory, the bedrooms are carpeted, the family room, bathroom, shower room, utility room, both cloakrooms and ground floor hallway have tiled flooring, the kitchen/diner and sitting room have wood flooring, all terraces are done with wood planks.
A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.
Sorry, no smoking or unaccompanied teenagers.
The roof top terraces are not suitable for unattended children and both roof top conservatory doors have a bolt lock at the top of the door so young children cannot open them without an adult’s assistance.
A well-behaved dog is welcome to stay in the garage in the kennel, however they are not permitted in the house. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.
Please note that there are some building works taking place next door to 64 Crag Path. Whilst we do not expect these to cause a disruption to you, please be aware there is scaffolding on the building next door and you may hear some construction type noises during the weekdays of your stay. These works are due to be completed in June, but have a 10% discount in place before then to reflect this.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
