Country holiday cottage near Southwold

This very pretty period cottage has a large garden and is set in the countryside just a few minutes walk along a footpath from the picturesque village of Westleton, where you'll find an award winning pub and a village shop. It's a tranquil setting, with views over fields at the front and many carefully restored period features inside.

On the ground floor is a large open plan kitchen/dining room, a living room, a bathroom and a twin bedroom. On the first floor is a double bedroom and a single bedroom. Outside there's a large lawned garden and a patio with a table and chairs and off-road parking for two cars.

Ground floor:

The front door leads into a hallway with space to leave your outdoor coats and boots, leading through to the kitchen.

Kitchen/Dining Room: This large room has a dining table which has been cleverly recycled from a period door, along with chairs and a bench. The kitchen area has an electric hob and oven, a slimline dishwasher, a microwave, a tall fridge with a two-shelf freezer and a tiled floor. An original period window looks through from the kitchen to the living room.

Living room: There's a cosy wood-burning stove in a wonderful inglenook fireplace, two two-seater antique-style leather sofas, a 22” TV with Freeview channels and a built-in DVD player. There's a stereo system with DAB radio, CD player and an Ipod docking station. The room has kept its original Suffolk floor bricks and oak beamed ceiling to create an atmospheric place to relax in the evenings.

Bedroom 1: A small twin bedroom with a chest of drawers, a wardrobe with a striped canvas front and oatmeal colour carpet.

Bathroom: There's a bath with a shower over it, a hand basin, a w.c. and a tiled floor.

First floor:

Slightly steep original oak stairs lead to a small landing with doors to two further bedrooms.

Bedroom 2: This room still has beautiful original wide oak floorboards and beamed sloping walls. There's a double bed with bedside tables and an antique wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a dressing table.

Bedroom 3: There's a single bed, a chest of drawers, original oak floorboards and an oak-beamed sloping ceiling.

Outside: There's a large enclosed lawned garden and a patio with a table and chairs and off-road parking for two cars.
